Beoddy Oil Company  History

1)1951 Bob Beoddy Oil Co. was established as a Sinclair Marketer         

 - Sold gasoline to 2 Company owned retail sites.                  
Sold gasoline and diesel to farm, commercial and industrial accounts.
- Sold heating fuel to homes.
- Sold oils, lubes, and grease to industrial accounts.
- All sales were made in Preble County, as Sinclair had specific territories to stay within

2)  1963 Wally Kramer joined the company
- Hired to be Mr. Beoddy's right hand man, making sales calls and deliveries

3) 1971 Sinclair merged with the Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO)
- Sold to more independent retail sites.
- Began selling Food Grade Oils as Arco specialized in this product.
- Beoddy Oil Co. purchased the bulk plant

4) 1977 incorporated as Beoddy Oil Company
         
5) 1977 changed to distributing Mobil Oil Corporation
- Gained a strong brand name in Gasoline, Diesel Fuel, Motor Oils, Industrial  Oils with Mobil.
- Beoddy Oil Co. kept Arco's heavy oil Brand. 

 

6) 1977 Mr. Robert Beoddy retired,  Wally Kramer named President.

7) 1984 Jeff Kramer  received a Bachelors Degree in Business from Bowling Green State University and begins his business plan at Beoddy Oil Company.
         
8) In 1982 Beoddy Oil Co. bought its first transport.
-This allowed Beoddy Oil Co. to start hauling products from the terminals to the  Bulk Plant, as well as delivering to several sub-jobbers their Gasoline and fuel oil needs
        
9) In 1991 Beoddy Oil Co. built their first Convenience Store, supplying coffee, soft drinks, snack foods, along with gasoline and diesel fuel to their customers.
 

10) In 1993 Beoddy Oil Co. changed from distributing Mobil Oil to Marathon Oil Corp.
- Mobil left the state, deciding to concentrate its efforts in the south.
-Marathon fit our needs, as they were strong in all of the aspects of our business
- Mobil Heavy Oils were still distributed from our bulk plant
- Beoddy Oil Co. now distributes Marathon, Mobil, Arco, and Valvoline Oils.

11) In 1998 Beoddy Oil Co. built a second full service Convenience Store, featuring a touchless, state of the art Car Wash.

 

Beoddy Oil currently distributes the Marathon brand of gasoline and fuel oils supplying several locations with Marathon products.

In Heavy Oils, Beoddy Oil Co. distributes Marathon, Valvoline, Mobil, Ashland, Pennzoil, and Citgo. 

Beoddy Oil Co. makes deliveries in a 60 mile radius from our bulk plant in Eaton, Ohio to many types of customers today.  We proudly supply our local farmer with his farming fuel or oil needs and deliver to customers needing home heat.  We specialize in industrial and commercial accounts using our connections for oil testing and a multitude of other uses.

Beoddy Oil Co. employees approximately 25 people at the bulk plant and convenience stores.  Beoddy Oil Co. currently runs 2 transports, 2 tank wagon trucks, and a flat bed truck for hauling heavy oils.
